Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center (DHMC) and Dartmouth Hitchcock Clinics Nursing's professional practice model was created for DHMC and Dartmouth Hitchcock Clinics nurses by DHMC and Dartmouth Hitchcock Clinics nurses.
Over a two-year period, our Nursing Practice Governance Councils gathered feedback and input from DHMC and Dartmouth Hitchcock Clinics nurses by asking them to define and describe their professional practice. The common themes and characteristics that emerged from this feedback provided the foundation for our professional practice model.
