How to Apply for the Primary Care Research Fellowship

Application materials

Applications to our Primary Care Research Fellowship program are accepted on a rolling basis. Your application should include:

  • A current curriculum vitae
  • Three letters of reference
  • A Training Prospectus: Brief statement of interest that includes career goals and personal expectations for the fellowship (limited to five single-spaced pages):
    • A summary of research interests
    • A statement of professional goals
    • A statement of post-doctoral training goals
    • A brief description of a research study that you would like to conduct in five years
  • A sample of written work

Minimum qualifications

You must be a doctoral-level clinician (e.g., MD, PhD, DO, DDS, DMD, DNP, PsyD, PharmD) with a completed primary care clinical residency or comparable post-doctoral clinical training in a primary care setting, such as:

  • Community-based mental health centers
  • Family Medicine
  • General Internal Medicine
  • Geriatrics
  • Pediatrics
  • Social service agencies

Consideration will be given to masters-level nurses and PAs with at least 2 years of post-degree clinical experience in primary care.
