The Colon and Rectal Surgery team coordinates care through our centrally located hub at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, New Hampshire, and through the Dartmouth Hitchcock Clinics Manchester in Manchester, New Hampshire.
New patients
In most cases, you will be referred to our team by another care provider, but you can also call us directly for an appointment.
Some health insurance policies require that you have a referral from your primary care provider (PCP) to make an appointment. Please review your health insurance coverage before calling for an appointment.
Manchester patients
- Some minor procedures (such as biopsies, excisions, and flexible sigmoidoscopies) are done in our office. The majority of all other surgeries are performed at Elliot Health System 1-Day Surgery or Elliot Hospital.
- For patients of Dr. Jeffrey Harnsberger, please download and fill out the Surgery Patient Information Form (PDF) prior to your appointment. Bring it with you to your visit.
Returning patients
If you are a returning patient, you may use myDH to communicate securely with your providers, request or change appointments, review your medical record, and more.

Office hours
Our hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, unless noted otherwise below:
- Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center: If you need to speak with someone after 5:00 pm or on weekends, call 603-650-5000 and ask the operator to page the general surgeon on call.
