Lucy J. Pilcher, MSW, LICSW
Lucy J. Pilcher, MSW, LICSW, is the Director of Education for Social Work and Mental Health. Lucy maintains some clinical work at the Moms in Recovery addiction treatment program and Hanover Psychiatry, where working with a diverse range of patients keeps her in a steady state of professional growth.
Lucy obtained a BSW from the United Kingdom, where she grew up and worked as a social worker before traveling and eventually relocating to the United States. Lucy achieved her MSW from the University of Denver in 2014 and was fortunate enough to have rich internship opportunities and skilled, dedicated supervisors. These early career learning experiences sparked an interest in social work and mental health education and training for students and new graduates. Having worked at Dartmouth Health in several social work roles from 2014 onwards, Lucy was part of creating the Dartmouth Health social work and mental health education program in 2022.
Lucy is motivated by a commitment to social work and the ethical standards that ground it. Lucy enjoys working with students and currently supervises new graduates seeking licensure. Lucy's work is underpinned by the belief that internships and early career experiences are fundamental to building highly skilled, ethically grounded and competent mental health professionals.
